Dalt Vila climbs from the Portal de ses Taules to the cathedral square; below its walls, Sa Penya and the Marina are the old fishermen’s and harbour quarters.
The walls
Seven bastions, five gates and 1,800 metres of Renaissance walls (turismo.eivissa.es).
The museums
MACE, the Museu Puget, Madina Yabisa and the two bastion museums are all inside the walls; the archaeological museum is closed for restoration, so see Puig des Molins instead.
Go up in the morning, before the heat.
Our advice: dinner inside the walls, then the ramparts by night.
